Focus on Histon, Impington & Orchard Park

A new bus stop connecting Orchard Park to Cambridge North rail station is finally on the cards. Proposals for the new Waterbeach busway failed to include a single place where all buses from the old and new busways would stop enabling passengers to connect between services. Recognising this as a massive oversight Cllr Ros Hathorn quickly made the case with senior decisions makers across Cambridgeshire. ‘I was able to win a commitment to a new bus stop before it was too late to change the plans.’
Recent reports of anti social behaviour demonstrate we need more action. We need CCTV under the bridges on the busway, a stronger police presence and recognition from local agencies that there is a growing problem across the north of the city and they need to act now to stop it getting worse. Write to Cllrs Sunita Hansraj, Ros Hathorn and Martin Cahn.
Report a pothole: There is currently extra money for potholes in the county council budget. Liberal Democrats fought hard for this money and there is no guarantee of finding it again. Consequently it is really important that we act now to get our roads fixed whilst there is money available.
Do this by reporting individual faults through Report a Fault
If the report isn’t looked at after 10 working days please contact Cllr Ros Hathorn who will chase the council.
Cllr Hathorn got the raised tables by The Coppice and Vision Park replaced recently. ‘We must act now, whilst funding is available.’
